Established back in 1920, the Chicago Bears are a member of the NFL - the National Football Conference, and belong to the NFC's North Division. But it wasn't always like that! Here are a few more affiliations associated with The Bears:

- 1967 to 1969 – The NFL's Central Division Western Conference

The Chicago Bears have gone by other names, however, since their 1920 startup. In 1921 they were referred to as the Chicago Staleys. Before that, in 1920, the Decatur Staleys. Currently, you may also hear them referred to lovingly as "The Monsters of the Midway".

The Chicago Bears were NFC conference champions in 2006 and 1985. They were NFL Western conference champions in 1963 and 1956. They have enjoyed a total of 26 playoff appearances, the latest in 2018.

Headquartered in Lake Forest, Illinois, the Bears play at Chicago's Soldier Field. Their colors include burnt orange, navy blue, and white. Their mascot, Staley Da Bear, can be seen on flags, hats, shirts, you name it.
