Wearing a hat with dreadlocks is a great way to spice up your look. But there are lots of great hairstyles that go well while wearing a hat.
When it comes wearing baseball caps and other headwear, let's check out hairstyles that go well with them. Before we explore others, however, let's check out the dreadlock look.
Dreadlocks and Hats
When it comes to dreadlocks and hats, there are some less desirable things to consider:
- Clumping
- Breakage
- Frizz
The upside to wearing the combination of dreads and hats is for protection. From any numbers of factors, you will protect your hair.
Other Styles That Go with Hats
- Strands down – Rather than pulling all of your hair back in a bun, braid, or ponytail, loosen just a few strands. Additionally, you can frame your face with grown-out bangs. This looks great with a baseball cap.
- Loose, side bun – Down, toward your neck, this side bun will sit. It looks adorable, albeit a tad messy. That's okay because that's what you're going for.
- Hidden bun – Does your hair need washing? Is it looking a bit dirty? With your hat, you can cover it if you put your hair up in a bun. You can always tell people you just felt like getting your hair up off your neck and out of your face.
- Fishtail braids – This is the look for you if, even though you're putting a cap over it, you don't mind taking the time to do your hair. When it comes to wearing hats and different hairstyles, this is one of the most elegant fashions. Dressing to impress? Give it a shot.
- Low ponytails and high ponytails – Below the bottom of your cap, you can create a little ponytail. Compared to the high ponytail, it's a bit more casual. If you get bored, you can always opt for a side ponytail.
Using the hole in the back of your cap, you will thread your high ponytail through. This will help give you a peppy, young look due to its bouncy effect.
- Straight down – You need do nothing else other than brush your hair for this one. Whether your hair is curly or straight, wear it naturally. Don't worry if it looks a bit messy.
- Pigtails – Pulling off pigtails is probably best left to the young. However, if you're wearing a baseball cap, this may help you look more like a sporty woman and less like a little girl – whether they're braided or not braided.
- Side ponytail – As referred to earlier, if you're tired of the high pony or the low pony, you may choose this option. You'll look extremely stylish and cute wearing this under a baseball cap.
