Another tradition that encourages students to get to know each other with the exclamation of a simple "Hey!" is Hey Day. The tradition originated in 1950s and 60s. In 1985, the tradition was reinstated with a slight change. Nametags were handed out and students were asked to wear them to make getting to know each other easier.
