The New York Cubans were a professional baseball team in the Negro League that played in the mid 1900s. What makes this team special, even among Negro League teams is that the Cubans’ teams were often made up of Hispanic players, who were marginalized before Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in the major leagues. Despite being called the Cubans, the team was largely composed of players from other Latin and Hispanic countries. The New York Cubans represent one of the many steps into making the MLB to what it is today. This is more than a fitted, it is an important piece of baseball history.
